Counselling Boys and Men in South West England & Uganda and Internationally
At Acorn Therapy, I offer specialized, non-judgmental Counselling Boys and Men in South West England & Uganda and Internationally aged 16 and up—whether you’re navigating early adulthood, midlife challenges, or later stages of life.
Many men struggle with depression, anxiety, anger, trauma, addiction, or relationship issues but hesitate to seek help. This isn’t a sign of weakness—it’s a human response to difficult emotions and societal pressures. My role is to offer a safe space where you can speak freely and begin your journey toward emotional resilience and well-being.
Why Men’s Counseling?
Men often carry emotional burdens in silence, unsure where to turn. Through therapy, we can explore the root causes of your struggles, develop healthy coping strategies, and break unhelpful patterns—whether in relationships, work, or personal habits.
Issues I Help With:
Anxiety, depression & mood struggles
Anger & emotional regulation
Relationship & intimacy challenges
Divorce, separation, infidelity
Trauma & PTSD
Substance use & behavioral addictions (porn, gaming, gambling)
Parenting & co-parenting
Sexual health & dysfunction
Career stress & life transitions
Identity, masculinity, gender & sexuality
What Are ‘Men’s Issues’?
Men’s issues aren’t just about anger or addiction. They include the silent battles—loneliness, grief, feeling disconnected from loved ones, or not knowing why things feel “off.” Therapy offers a space to unpack those feelings, understand yourself better, and build stronger emotional and relational connections.
Let’s Work Together
If you’re in Somerset, Devon, or anywhere in the UK (or abroad), I offer both in-person and online sessions. As a male therapist with extensive experience working across cultures and age groups, I tailor every session to your unique needs.
You don’t have to face this alone. Let’s talk—your well-being matters.
For a man, getting support is not a sign of weakness, but a powerful step towards personal transformation and positive change.
Professional Counselling for Boys and Men | Mental Health Support
Support for Emotional Well-being, Growth, and Self-Discovery
Boys and men often respond to emotional challenges in ways that go unnoticed or misunderstood. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, relationship stress, depression, anger, or addictive behaviours, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed—mentally, emotionally, and psychologically.
If this sounds familiar, know that you’re not alone—and you don’t have to face it alone. I provide a confidential, supportive space where boys and young men can talk freely, explore their feelings, and develop healthier ways of coping with life’s challenges.

Whether it’s pressure around relationships, education, family expectations, finances, or identity, therapy offers a safe, judgment-free space to explore your experience, understand yourself better, and grow from the inside out.

How does therapy address men’s issues?
A Welcoming Space for Men’s Counselling
I provide a confidential, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where men can explore what truly matters to them. Our sessions aren’t limited to so-called “men’s issues.” Instead, we focus on the deeper emotional experiences that often go unspoken—helping you understand how psychological discomfort may be showing up in your life and working together to discover more effective, authentic ways of being.
Your First Counselling Session – Free of Charge
Your first session is completely free and lasts approximately 60 minutes. It’s a relaxed, no-obligation opportunity for you to get a feel for how I work and ask any questions you may have. We’ll take time to explore your goals, your story, and whether this therapeutic relationship feels like the right fit for you.
For young people aged 16 and over, this session may include a parent, guardian, or trusted adult for part of the time—while also ensuring dedicated, one-on-one time with the young person. Toward the end of the session, we’ll reflect on your concerns and begin to map out potential paths forward—together.
