I have been engaged in ground-breaking online and Zoom psychotherapy sessions for clients across the UK and internationally. However, my connection to Uganda runs deep, as my family currently resides there, allowing me to offer my therapeutic services to individuals in and around Kampala and throughout Uganda.

Kampala Psychotherapy: Experience and Expertise

With extensive experience in clinical settings and private practice, I provide an integrated and holistic approach to treatment that is tailored to each individual's unique needs. I have conducted mental health and well-being workshops for professionals and community members in the UK and abroad. Additionally, I have a passion for Art Therapy and often incorporate techniques from this therapeutic approach when working with patients of all ages.

How can therapy benefit me?

Therapy is designed to help you navigate the challenges in your life, manage your emotions, and build resilience to future traumas. At Acorn Therapy, we utilize a variety of techniques and combinations to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. This may involve integrating counselling with bodywork, art therapy, mindfulness, or other modalities. It takes time to discover what works best for each client, just like the treatment and recovery time for a broken bone varies depending on several factors specific to the individual.

We understand that seeking therapy can be stigmatized in Uganda and many other parts of the world. Thus, we also offer online mental health support for those who prefer a more private setting or reside outside of Kampala.

Respect and Confidentiality

We recognize that reaching out for help can be daunting, which is why we prioritize confidentiality in our psychotherapy, counselling, and workshop programs. Sessions with Denis or other Acorn Therapy professionals are completely confidential, and we ensure your anonymity. We understand that many of our clients are professionals, so we offer evening and weekend appointments to accommodate your busy schedules. If privacy is a concern, please feel free to discuss your preferences with your therapist, and they will schedule your sessions accordingly.

How can psychotherapy and counselling assist you?

Psychotherapy and counselling offer numerous benefits depending on your individual circumstances. For some individuals, therapy helps them process and overcome past trauma, while for others, it provides support in finding meaning and purpose in their lives. It is not solely about identifying the root cause of a problem but rather developing resilience and emotional management skills to effectively cope with future challenges.

In our Kampala psychotherapy practice, we embrace a tailored approach to address each client's specific needs since there is no one-size-fits-all solution to achieving better mental health. We employ various therapeutic methods to ensure that our sessions provide maximum assistance to you.
