Work can be an important part of our lives, but personal difficulties, workplace pressures and changes in circumstances can sometimes affect our emotional wellbeing, relationships and ability to cope. I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where employees can talk openly about what they are experiencing and begin to work through difficulties at their own pace.

Employee counselling can support people with a wide range of personal and work-related concerns, including stress, anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, family problems, bereavement, financial pressures, workplace conflict, trauma, burnout, changes at work and other challenges that may be affecting their wellbeing.

I believe that when people feel supported and able to talk about what is happening in their lives, they are often better able to manage difficulties and feel more settled both at work and at home.

I offer flexible counselling support for employees and organisations, with sessions available online across the UK and, where appropriate, face-to-face in Cheltenham and Gloucestershire.

My approach is warm, professional and tailored to the individual. I draw on my experience as an integrative counsellor to work with each person as an individual, rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

Whether an employee is experiencing a difficult period in their personal life, struggling with workplace pressures or simply needs a confidential space to talk, I aim to provide supportive counselling that helps them understand what they are going through and consider positive ways forward.

What to Expect from Employee Counselling
What to Expect in Your Sessions

When you begin counselling with me, I will offer you a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about whatever you are experiencing.

There is no expectation that you need to have everything worked out before you come to counselling. We can take time to understand what is happening for you, what you would like support with and what you hope to get from counselling.

I will listen carefully and work collaboratively with you, helping you explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences at a pace that feels manageable. Where appropriate, we may look at different ways of coping, develop practical strategies and consider changes that could support your wellbeing.

As an integrative counsellor, I draw on different therapeutic approaches depending on your individual circumstances. I do not believe that one approach works for everyone, so I adapt the way I work to meet your needs.

Stages of Online Employee Counselling

Although everyone’s counselling journey is different, our work may include some of the following stages:

1. Getting to Know Each Other

Our first sessions are an opportunity to build a trusting therapeutic relationship and for you to begin feeling comfortable talking with me. We can discuss what has brought you to counselling and what you would like help with.

2. Understanding What You Are Experiencing

Together, we can explore the thoughts, feelings, relationships and experiences that may be affecting you. This can help you develop a clearer understanding of what is happening and how it may be impacting your wellbeing and work.

3. Identifying What You Want to Change

We can explore what you would like to be different and identify realistic goals for our work together. This might involve developing healthier ways of coping, improving confidence, managing stress or understanding yourself and your relationships more clearly.

4. Working Towards Change

As our work develops, I will support you in exploring new perspectives and, where appropriate, trying different ways of responding to the difficulties you are facing. We can regularly review how things are going and adjust our work according to your needs.

5. Ending Counselling

When you feel ready to finish, we can take time to reflect on your counselling journey, what you have learned and the changes you have made. We can also consider the resources, coping strategies and support available to you going forward.

The length of counselling will depend on your individual circumstances and the nature of the support you need. Some people benefit from a relatively short period of counselling, while others may need longer-term support.

How much does employee counselling Cost?

Many companies offer their employees up to six counselling sessions, usually funded by the employer. I provide confidential employee counselling on a weekly basis, with the number and frequency of sessions tailored to the needs of each individual and, where appropriate, the organisation.

My standard fee is £45 per counselling session, with the initial session offered free of charge.

Counselling Packages
  • 7 sessions – 1 initial session + 6 further sessions: £350
  • 13 sessions – 1 initial session + 12 further sessions: £600
  • 19 sessions – 1 initial session + 18 further sessions: £900

I provide a safe, confidential and supportive space where employees can talk openly about personal or work-related difficulties. Counselling can help employees understand what they are experiencing, develop healthier ways of coping and make positive changes that support their emotional wellbeing.

Supporting employees’ mental health can benefit both the individual and the organisation. Early access to appropriate counselling can help employees address difficulties before they become more serious and may support wellbeing, confidence, relationships and work performance.

As an employer, being aware of changes in attendance, wellbeing, behaviour or performance can help identify when an employee may benefit from additional support. Offering access to counselling can be an important part of a wider workplace wellbeing approach.

I offer employee counselling in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire and the Cotswolds, as well as online counselling for organisations and employees across the UK.
